7 Awesome TV Shows That Won't Return Until 2019

From one of the world's biggest shows to the biggest, it was widely expected that Game of Thrones wouldn't return until 2019 before HBO's official confirmation (which arrived last week).

Although the eighth and final season is shorter than all the rest, with just six episodes rather than the usual 10 (or 7, for Season 7), the production is now bigger than ever. It's believed each episode will be around 80-90 minutes long, and with most characters now coming together there's only one filming unit, which means it's taking longer to shoot.

On top of that, with dragons and White Walkers coming to the fore, the post-production work will be heavier than ever as well. If it means they're taking their time to really get it right and end on a high, though, then it will be worth the wait. It's also going to be an unbearable one.
