7 Best YA Novels Adapted Into Hit TV Shows

4. Looking For Alaska

Following the varying levels of success generated by film versions of his novels The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns, John Green turned to the small screen when it came to adapting his first book, Looking For Alaska.

The limited series retells Green's tale about curious youngster Miles, who joins a new boarding school, forming a close-knit friendship group and falling in love with troubled student, Alaska Young. High-school life is going swimmingly, until tragedy strikes and Miles is forced to re-evaluate the meaningful things in life.

Executive producer/writer Josh Schwartz, famous for his work on The O.C. and Gossip Girl, demonstrated his experience in the teen genre, producing an exciting, thought-provoking series that does justice to Green's novel.
