2. "Dumb Blonde"
Glee could have almost have gotten away with this one because Quinn, another blonde, is one of the smartest of the glee club bunch, however Brittany S Pierce is so dumb that dumb is pretty much all she is. In fact, by making a character as dumb as this one, Ryan Murphy and co have kind of dug themselves into a hole - how will she ever graduate?! She certainly is nowhere intelligent enough to stand half a chance. Stupidly though she is ridiculously talented at dancing and choreography so it is actually pretty difficult to imagine a character could be a genius at one thing and so obviously remedial at most others. Clearly, the creators of Glee know that the cast is full up with mostly stereotypes, and they have a lot of fun with this particular one that we can almost forgive them. The fact that there is also almost no section of the human race who isn't stereotyped in Glee means at least everyone suffers the same treatment. As much as you want to hate Brittany for being portrayed as the obvious dumb blonde that the other Glee club members like to take fun of, you can't, because her character is too damn funny for that, and gets all the best lines. However, of all the characters on Glee (or on TV full stop), Brittany is the most unbelievable human being, and if she were really that dumb, she would certainly be dead by now.
