7 Great Ways Luke Cage & Iron Fist Could Continue (That Probably Won't Happen)

4. A Jump To Disney

This was an obvious theory which got largely caught up in the announcement of Disney's forthcoming streaming service. Lots of future MCU treasures have been teased at under the Disney banner, and it would have been a noble venture for them to also rescue the two cancelled Netflix shows. It is pretty certain that this will not happen, even though many of us would like it to.

There are a number of reasons why it would have been a good move. The newly housed Heroes for Hire duo may have found themselves freshly charged with a comic book gloss. There is no doubt that Disney's line of Marvel programming would be drastically different in tone to the content brought out by Netflix. But the adventurous nature of the two characters would have been arguably more suited to a less gritty, and more happy-go-lucky Disney setting.

Particularly in the case of Luke Cage, Disney could have done a great job of ramping up the fantasy elements of Luke's general heroism, whilst maintaining the political significance of Harlem's Bulletproof Black man. As for Iron Fist: Kung Fu and dragons? Need we say more?
