7 Great Ways Luke Cage & Iron Fist Could Continue (That Probably Won't Happen)

3. An Animated Revamp

Heroes For Hire
Marvel Comics

Think of the many great Batman animations to get a feel for this idea's potential. Not to mention the upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which incidentally, looks incredible. Animation could possibly be the best revival tactic for the Heroes for Hire universe.

And yes, putting a cartoon sheen over the world of Luke Cage and Iron Fist will invariably lower the target audience age. But did Iron Fist really need to be as violent as it was? On more than one occasion, the morally sparkling persona of Danny Rand found himself in a world more like that of The Punisher, which really jarred the identity of the show. Aiming Iron Fist more towards a family audience could be the best way of keeping its conventions on the straight and narrow.

As for Luke Cage, a streetwise native of Harlem with Hulk-like strength? Do we really need to go into detail as to why that would be the perfect fit for an animated series? Upholding prior continuity of the live-action shows would of course be to the discretion of the producer. But just think of the possibilities regarding action.
