Prior to "Baelor," Tyrion had most endeared himself to the audience via his cleverness and humor. There's not always a great deal of laughter in Game of Thrones, but Tyrion could usually be counted upon to provide. When Tyrion tells Shae and Bronn the story of his wife, however, he gains a whole new layer. Peter Dinklage is amazing in his haunted delivery, and we see for ourselves that Tyrion's oft-stated bitterness at his father is derived from far more than simply being the least-favorite child.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
