6. 24 - Nina Myers
When 24 came to its original end there had been plenty of betrayals and double agents, but there is one that ranks above any other- Nina Myers. In the first season of the show Nina was Jack Bauers closest confidant and most trusted ally in the CTU. She was also the other woman; the pair had engaged in a relationship during Jacks separation from his wife Terri. Nina was trusted completely by both Jack and Tony Almeida, but she would soon abuse this trust and forever change the life of Jack and his family.
Near the end of the first season the audience learns that Nina is the second mole at the CTU, having killed the earlier exposed Jamey Farrell and subsequently staged her suicide. It was an absolute shock to the core; it appeared for most of the season that Nina would be the one colleague Jack could always rely on. Instead she gave him his deepest emotional scar- a wrong he could never make right- she took his wife.
Despite understandable friction, by the time of the first season finale Terri trusted Nina just as her husband did. After suffering through the worst day of her life Terri was happy, she and Kim were safe and her marriage was back on track. That happiness comes to an end when she discovers that Ninas the mole. Having been ordered to tie up any loose ends, Nina murders Terri. This betrayal and the loss of his wife continues to haunt Jack for the rest of the series.
