7 Immensely Disappointing Things In Dragon Ball Super That Need Fixing

5. Rehashing The New Movies

Both Battle of the Gods and Resurrection of F are amazing movies. Even better yet, they're canon. So for the love of Shenron, why are they getting retold in Dragon Ball Super? I understand that a little back story is needed before the events of the first movie, and then again between the first and the second, but it could've been done so much better. Show what happens before Battle of the Gods, dedicate one episode reminding fans on the movie, and then do the same for the second movie. What's even worse, the retold story is in no way superior to the one in the movie. It's basically identical, with a few totally unimportant changes, and a fight that just drags out for no reason. It's already confirmed that the story is going to move forward by introducing new gods and parallel universes, and that within itself contains so much material to work with. Next to that, needlessly rehashing already existing events after such a short time just seems like a cheap and unimaginative move by Toriyama.
