Ever seen a youth-oriented drama show set in the countryside that was worth a damn? Does that niche subgenre even exist? No? "When the body of a local teenage boy is found underneath the wheels of a tractor," goes Channel 4's description of Glue, the villagers in the remote farming community of Overton "are forced to open up their world and watch their secrets spill out. Billed as 'the next Skins' by many - perhaps unfairly, since the only real similarities seem to be that both series feature young people getting into trouble - Glue looks primed to set British screens alight come September when it airs on E4.
