There's not a great deal of information out about Z Nation other than some plot details, casting info and its premiere date, but it's already exciting enough to know that there's another zombie show on the horizon to challenge the currently lone titan that is The Walking Dead. Following a zombie apocalypse in the US (surprise surprise), a group of survivors set off across the country to bring the last uninfected human to a facility where their blood can be take and used to create a vaccine for the rest of the rest. As far as premises go it's a little thin but it's practically rock solid compared to the Walking Dead's aimless plot; it's good to know the characters of Z Nation have something concrete to shoot for and obstacles to overcome. The fact that SyFy are producing the show might not fill viewers with too much confidence, given their more recent output of schlocky monster movies and reality shows, but let's not forget they were once responsible for the Battlestar Galactica reboot and could still pull off a tense prestige drama. If nothing else, having another zombie series on the air may at least scare The Walking Dead's makers into turning out a product that doesn't coast for half its season... What do you think? Are half as excited as we are? Or are there other shows coming up you're far more excited for? Let us know in the comments!
