7 Reasons Why Fans Have Turned On Fear The Walking Dead

2. Action Is More Scarce

In the future of the show, people would ask: 'Where were you when the world ended?' Maddie, Alicia, and Nick can declare that while riots were spiralling out of control in Downtown L.A. they were sat in the house playing Monopoly by candlelight. That's not what some fans want to watch, even if the homely, fantastically ordinary nature of the scenes provided a stark contrast to how you'd expect people to be handling a zombie apocalypse. In TWD, there was action from the very start, and the plot-line swept along rapidly to the point where Rick didn't really ask too many questions about why he woke up from a coma and society had disintegrated. Fear has taken things very slowly, and while that's actually a great move to differentiate itself from TWD, many fans tune in to see the blood, guts and death expected of a zombie show. They want to see more of humankind crashing, burning and destroying their own civilisation, not watching a family play board games.
