Many of the cast members of Oz moved onto major projects on screens both big and small during and after its duration. The acclaim surrounding the intensity of the cast spawned interest from many a creator and network and chances are you’ve seen this lot a bunch of times by now.

From an Aryan Brotherhood menace making the lives of everyone he knows hell to Law & Order to J. Jonah Jameson to bagging one of those little gold men, JK Simmons has become a major name in the acting world since his days on Oz.

Speaking of which, Christopher Meloni moved on to a lead role in Law & Order: SVU among other hits in the wake of his excellent work as the charismatic sociopath Chris Keller.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has done everything from Killer Croc to Mr Eko to putting bullets in Jason Bourne. This year will also see the cinematic release of his directorial debut, Farming.

Various talents have moved on to many other major shows over the years including The Wire, The Sopranos, Lost, Desperate Housewives and The Handmaid’s Tale.
