7 Theories on Doctor Who Series 7

3. The New Girl Dalek Girl?

Asylum of the Daleks: And we€™re back to conjecture, simply because there are assumptions that certain story threads will play out in ways that are unexplained by official cannon. That in mind, the Ponds start out separated, angry with each other, and ready to split up. We find out that the reasoning behind this split is that Amy can no longer have children, which has made her feel incompatible with Rory€™s want for more kids. If Oswin is the new companion, then the reverse timeline fits perfectly! The Doctor somehow saves her and brings her back as a companion after Amy and Rory go off. Also, the continued theme of Christmas throughout Series 7 (and the fact that the new companion is debuting at Christmas) could be realized in the simple fact that Jenna Louise Coleman wasn€™t merely cast as a throwaway character€she was introduced to us in the beginning and hidden under our noses. (Especially when Steven Moffat teased audiences by saying that the new companion would be an unusual choice for The Doctor. Also, he€™s teased that she€™d be an equal, and if Oswin wasn€™t The Doctor€™s equal in Asylum, then the world may as well get dragged away again by Davros.)
