6. Dark Shadows: Reincarnation
The Lost Boys won't be the only vintage supernatural property to receive an update, as The CW is also developing a show based around the legendary soap opera Dark Shadows. But Dark Shadows: Reincarnation won't be a reboot; it's intended to be a sequel series instead.
A modern day follow-up, the show will continue the iconic Collins' family story, allowing us to see what they are getting up to today in Collinsport, Maine. That's the benefit of focusing on immortal characters: You can pick up their story at any time, really.
The original soap, of course, aired on ABC from 1966 until 1971 and became quite the cult classic in the years following its conclusion, with many attempts to revive or reboot it - the most famous being NBC's short lived '90s reboot Dark Shadows: The Revival and the 2012 film adaptation starring Johnny Depp.
Given The CW's track record with producing long-running supernatural shows, it's safe to say that the franchise may have finally found the right home after all this time.
