This isn't so much a secret, as a happy ending in real life, but I felt it was a worthy inclusion to bring a smile to your faces.

In the opening episode of series four, Camille, we see Kryten experience love and the subsequent loss that comes with it. We come to discover the titular character is a GELF: a genetically engineered life-form that takes on the appearance of her admirer's fantasies.

So when Kryten meets her, she takes on the form of an updated model of android (with realistic toes and a slide-back sunroof head!) to please him. This is, in real life, Robert Llewellyn's then-girlfriend and author, Judy Pascoe.

What makes it even sweeter is that they went on to marry, and still are to this day. Although (in a commentary track) she now has little sympathy for his moaning about the prosthetic application process.

Weirdly enough, Lister's Camille was also his then-girlfriend, Suzanna Rhatigan. But there's isn't a happy ending like Kryten's.

Like Kryten says, "It's an old, old tale..."
