6. The Disc-World Series
Part of what makes Discworld as a series work so well is the fact that it is not a series at all. Comprised of different adaptations of the wonderful Terry Pratchett novels there have been a few strong outings into the titular Discworld. The live-action versions consisting of Going Postal, The Colour of Magic and The Hogfather all made great impressions on audiences, and did justice to the material they were based on.
The charm that Terry Pratchett brings into his stories is entirely present in these adaptations, and choosing to watch any one of them is very worthwhile - especially as they aren't necessarily designed to be watched in a specific order, meaning each works as a reasonable starting place to get into the world.
Which is undeniably helpful, as it's a world worth getting into, with a truly unique tone and a real sense of comedy within it. It's filled with notable actors who give some sometimes silly performances, clearly showing how enjoyable the source material is. The most notable appearance has to be the character of Death, who steals the show and has always been one of Pratchett's best reoccurring characters.
