5. Jessica Jones: Is Kilgrave Alive?
The last time David Tennant's Kilgrave was seen in Marvel's excellent Jessica Jones, the protagonist was snapping his neck to put his hold on her to an end.
It seemed to work a treat because the villain appeared well and truly dead afterwards, but teaser imagery from Season 2 - which comes to Netflix next month - appears to show him alive and well, and with an intact neck to boot.
Marvel is yet to clarify the extent of Tennant's role in the next series, so it's unclear whether Kilgrave has returned from the dead - there's plenty of ways to do that in the Marvel Universe - or if Jessica is still plagued by visions of her former oppressor.
The events of Season 1 suggested that the hard-hitting private eye had exorcised her demons and is now ready to pursue some new cases, unburdened by Kilgrave's malice, but it looks like moving on won't be so simple for her.
