8 Great TV Shows Unfairly Cancelled In 2014

3. Intelligence

What it was: This high-tech spy thriller was primed to enter the ring as a less haphazard alternative to Syfy's Alphas, and a more serious version of cult show Chuck. Following the apparent trend of shows about government agencies and covert operations, Intelligence was sure to be a crowd pleaser. The show was often praised for its beautiful special effects - something that seems to be sorely lacking in the world of broadcast television - and its solid use of character development. Pair those elements with the talent of a spectacular cast and Intelligence should've been a shoo-in for at least six more seasons, right? Wrong. Where it went wrong: Another victim of the cliffhanger cancellation club, the CBS drama never really stood a chance against its competition. Its Monday night 10/9c time slot meant that the rookie program had to compete with Bones and Blacklist, both of which had the advantages of fanbase and quality production, respectively. Ultimately, Intelligence didn't have enough pizzazz to ensure a second season, much to the dismay of CBS and fans everywhere.
