8 Huge Stars Who Were In Skins
4. Jack O'Connell
In our first trip to Seasons 3 and 4, we meet somebody else whose name also appears constantly on the "best Skins Characters" lists: James Cook.
Cook is like Chris, but on steroids - and just about every other drug as well. Self-destructive, violent, and more complex than a PhD in quantum brain surgery, Cook's storylines ranged from dealing with his estranged father to dealing drugs to avenging the murder of his best friend, Freddie.
The role of Cook was not the first for actor, Jack O'Connell (he'd appeared as a skinhead in the Shane Meadows movie This Is England), but it was his portrayal of the troubled teen that got people talking.
After leaving the show, O'Connell went onto star in a number of well-received films, including prison drama, Starred Up, and Angelina Jolie's directorial debut, Unbroken.
In 2015, he was named BAFTA's "Rising Star", despite having been in the acting business for nearly a decade at this point. That same award had previously been won by the likes of Eva Green, Kristen Stewart, and Tom Hardy.
A darling with the critics and a man with a very bright future in showbusiness, it looks like our pal Cook finally made something of his life.
