There have been many video games based in the Simpsons universe over the years; one of the more well-known, admittedly for the wrong reasons, is The Simpsons: Road Rage. Developed by EA, the game and the creators of the show were sued successfully by SEGA for patent infringement. Which basically means Road Rage was a rip-off of a SEGA game, namely Crazy Taxi. The two games were basically the same, save for the fact that one looked a bit more like The Simpsons than the other: the aim in both is simply to pick up passengers and get them to their location within the allotted time. According to critics, even the gameplay of Road Rage was the same. The case was eventually settled in private, and no more copies of Road Rage were produced.
