4. Tracey Ullman AKA The Comedian Whose Show First Aired The Simpsons
Not many people are aware that The Simpsons didn't just start out life as a 20-minute sitcom - it was originally created as a series of vignettes for Fox's The Tracey Ullman Show back in 1987. After The Simpsons broke out as its own show and went big, however, The Tracey Ullman Show's titular host sued, claiming she was owed profits by Fox. In 1990, the year before Ullman decided to file her lawsuit, The Simpsons made $750 million (through merchandise and various products), and Ullman decided she wanted a piece of it. Apparently, a contract made years prior stipulated that Ullman would take 7.5% of the profits from the show, which she never received. Ultimately, Ullman lost, with a jury taking a matter of hours to reject her claim. Allegedly, Ullman (somewhat bitterly, you'd assume) declared: "I breast-fed those little devils."
