6. Mindy Lahiri - The Mindy Project
Dr Mindy Lahiri is an OBGYN (that's a gynaecologist to us British folk) who gets entangled in many sticky situations. Mindy is smart and strange, pretty yet peculiar and thinks nothing of having a chocolate fountain in her office arguing "This is amazing. People love this." She is totally frank and feisty, calling herself by her warrior name of Beyoncé Pad Thai. And Mindy is constantly sexting and chasing after the wrong men, yet tells the truth about real dating where she celebrates the fact that going for a meal with someone means having to act natural in the most unnatural situations.
