5. Amy Farrah Fowler - The Big Bang Theory
Amy is definitely the most academically accomplished on this list having studied at Harvard University she possesses a PH. D. in Neurobiology (don't worry, we're not totally sure what it means either). She is also Sheldon Cooper's girlfriend (need I say more?!) and met him on an online dating website, only after promising her mother she would date at least once a year so she'd be allowed to use the George Foreman machine. Amy is nerdy and nutty and you can't help but feel for the straight-laced brunette. Who could forget when she admitted the only person to sign her high school year book was her mother, who wrote: 'Dear Amy, self-respect and a hymen are far better than friends and fun.' We all have that "awww" moment for her, especially when she's attempting any kind of intimacy with Sheldon.
