8 Reasons Why You Should Watch Banshee

7. It Doesn't Pull Punches

The exploitation style of violence is on full display here.

In the first three episodes alone, a man gets a bullet through the hand, another man's teeth get ripped out of his screaming face, and the previously mentioned MMA fighter gets his hand pulled apart by the finger seems (that one is particularly nasty.) It only gets worse from there, with my personal highlights being a kg weight dropped on a neck, and a hood ornament being pushed in a throat.

The practical effects team do a great job of riding the line between the line between brutal and ridiculous. No matter how violent the show gets, it never loses sight of its main goal: to entertain. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones' violence, this show is similar but with an extra injection of style.
