8 Reasons You're Allowed To Hate Daryl From The Walking Dead

7. He's Too "Safe" To Be Killed Off

Does anyone really fret about Reedus' character being killed off? Even in the most harrowing of circumstances, it's almost a guarantee that, as long as The Walking Dead anticipates another season on the horizon, Daryl will make it to the next episode physically unscathed. Aside from Rick (and perhaps Rick's children), there's no one else on the show that has that kind of built-in safety net. And just like Rick (and his children), that makes Daryl a really boring character sometimes. Just once it would be nice to have Daryl wander into the woods with a legitimate threat to his safety lurking in the background. Of course, in order for that to happen, AMC would have to be willing to lose the sizable, very vocal Daryl Dixon fan club as routine viewers. From a business standpoint, Daryl is simply un-killable.
