8 Sons Of Anarchy Spin-Offs Fans Would Love To See

What did happen to Abel and Thomas after their father died?

It may seem hard to believe, but it has been eight whole years since the gripping, emotional, and altogether sensational series finale of Sons of Anarchy. Even after all this time, the show still has just as loyal a following as it did throughout its active run.

The series universe has since expanded with Mayans, currently working on its fifth season, and able to enjoy similar rave reviews as Sons of Anarchy itself. EZ’s story has made for a perfect spin-off from the FX show, but why should it be stopped at just one?

Sons of Anarchy not only told a compelling story over its seven seasons, it also laid down a huge amount of history and lore that is almost begging to be brought to the screen. There are stories within that lore that deserve to be told, and with Mayans setting the precedent that spin-offs from Sons can work, why not expand the universe further?

Whether prequels, sequels, or stories running at the same point on the timeline as Sons of Anarchy, these potential shows would surely rouse more than enough interest from fans.

To start this list off is an idea from the mind of Kurt Sutter himself, as one of the SOA spin-offs he reportedly has had his eye on making alongside Mayans. While several of the ideas on this list will either be prequels or running side-by-side with the Sons of Anarchy timeline, this would arguably be the most straightforward sequel possible.

Titled Sam Crow in Sutter’s mind, the show would tell the story of what happened to Abel, Thomas, Wendy, and Nero after they left Charming. Overall, the entire original show was about Jax making a better life for his boys, but did it work?

This is arguably the most obvious story that could be picked up after Jax Teller’s death. He left his boys in the care of Nero and Wendy, but that doesn’t automatically mean their lives will be all smiles and sunshine from then on. There is a legacy, and potentially irreparable damage to address.

With Sutter’s firing from Mayans back in 2019 comes a big question mark over whether this will ever actually get made. He may never be involved with the universe he created again, but should his relationship with Disney ever be repaired, this will likely be one of the first things to be discussed.
