8 Supporting Mad Men Characters Who Stole The Show

7. Duck Phillips

Duck Phillips Duck Phillips was first episode was at the first episode was 'Nixon vs. Kennedy' at the end of series one, brought in by Don Draper to act as director of account services. Though he was brought in Don there was a clear rivalry between the two. The two of them differ on their views of loyality in business and in their general approach. It is Duck's back story that really makes the character. He's introduced to the show as someone who has history as a recovering alcoholic and is having to deal with his family moving on with their lives. Eventually his past becomes his present as we see him in a drunk state at the Clio Awards and when breaks into SCDP offices to defecate in Don's office. Coupled this with his pursuit or Peggy Olson and Pete Campbell, he really does look to challenge Don Draper. Mark Moses does really show us a great character with a intriguing back story and you never really know what is going to happen next with Duck Phillips.
