8 Things Only Brooklyn Nine-Nine Fans Will Understand

4. Singing 'Rosa'

Doug Judy (A.K.A. the Pontiac Bandit) is impossible to forget. Craig Robinson was perfectly cast as the smooth-talking, smoother-singing master of the “smoosh”, and his portrayal of Judy as Peralta's favourite frenemy in each season is a yearly highlight. Their formula keeps us guessing as to exactly how Jake will get burned each time around, and Robinson plays his part exceptionally.

As well as his turbulent and unorthodox friendship with Jake, Doug Judy also has strong feelings towards another member of the Nine Nine: Rosa Diaz.

Upon meeting Diaz, Judy immediately begins serenading her with her own song, simply titled 'Rosa'. It consists of Judy singing her name repeatedly, much to her annoyance. It is a song that reappears several times throughout the show, and for all its simplicity, it proves to be incredibly catchy.

Singing 'Rosa' is an easy way to work out which person in any given room is a fan of Brooklyn Nine Nine, and is also a good way to start a group sing-along. Win-win.
