8 Things You Didn't Know About Marvel's Inhumans

A lot of the Inhumans' backstory deals with genealogy, and attempts at improving the human population by controlled breeding. The fact that they were created to be weapons, allows for further experimentation to get to that goal.

One such geneticist was Randac, former King of the Inhumans who discovered Terrigen Crystals. When terrigen crystals are exposed to the right temperature the create Terrigen Mist.

The mist itself could activate Inhuman attributes in one's genealogy, creating a slew of new Inhumans. Those exposed undergo "terrigenesis", a process which causes those born with Inhuman genes to form a cocoon, and emerge with extraordinary powers.

Maximus the Mad, in an attempt to create peace by making all living being Inhuman, created the Terrigen Bomb or T-Bomb. When activated by his brother Black Bolt's voice the T-Bomb would release massive amounts of Terrigen Mist. In a battle with Thanos, Black Bolt activates the bomb, and earth is covered in massive amounts of Terrigen mist.

Not only are dozens of new Inhumans created, but the species starts to infiltrate Marvel comics on a large scale. Characters like Kamala Khan's Ms Marvel were created as a result of the T-Bomb and more Inhumans are discovered everyday.
