8 TV Character Changes That Worked Perfectly

6. South Park - Eric Cartman

The Walking Dead Carol
Comedy Central

While Eric Cartman has always been a semi-antagonist within South Park, his earlier season work showed him as the gluttonous bully of the group who ripped on the poor, spouted racist and anti-Semitic slurs, and just unsettling in how hilariously he treated his supposed friends.

As the series progressed, the viciousness of Eric Cartman had evolved too; growing into the psychotic wreck who tricks his enemies into familial-cannibalism or convinces a school-friend that the world has ended, just so he could take their place at a birthday party.

Since around the tenth season, we've started to see a more emotional monster in Eric Cartman. And while everything he did before then was horrible, it was the manipulation of his mother in Season 10 Episode 07 "Tsst" that began to plant the seeds of how sinister he can be.

Since then we've seen him worm his way through peoples emotions in delightfully haunting moments; in the latest season we saw the full extent of his menace when through his own hubris, he turned a sweet and well-meaning girl into the female equivalent of himself.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
