This is true, as the group's new knowledge of sign-language, learned from Kelly and Connie, allows them to silently communicate with each other, giving them an edge over the evil Whisperers.

Connie and Kelly are far from the only characters to turn their weaknesses into a superpower. Television is full of characters who have made the best out of unfortunate circumstances.

Bran Stark's dream of becoming a Knight of The Seven Kingdoms is destroyed when he is pushed from a tower window, but the 'accident' that crippled him is just the beginning of an important journey.
