8 TV Heroes You Didn't Realise Probably Died Horrible Deaths
3. Grey Worm - Game Of Thrones
For the vast majority of his time on Game of Thrones, Grey Worm was a pretty good guy. Sure, he was a soldier, but he served one of the two main heroes of the story extremely faithfully, and fans couldn't help but root for his doomed relationship with Missandei. Few love stories in Game of Thrones had a happy ending, but theirs came agonisingly close.
Until, that is, Missandei was murdered and Daenerys turned into a true conqueror, with Grey Worm there to help carry out her worst deeds. His acts were those of war and a man drove into a rage by grief, and while it looked like that would mean he had to be killed - whether by Jon Snow, Arya, or someone else - he surprisingly ended up alive.
He's then, well, basically bantered off by Tyrion in the finale despite ostensibly being the guy in control, before sailing off with the Unsullied to the island of Naath, where he and Missandei were going to go. He's found a way back from the darkness, and it seems like happy(ish) days. Except, that is, for the fact in the books at least, Naath is home to a butterfly fever, which will eventually kill anyone who stays on the island too long that didn't grow up there.
It's not just a simple fever either: sure, that's the first part, but it then leads to painful spasms that make it look as though the sufferer is dancing wildly, and then finally they start to, er, *sweat blood* and the flesh comes off their bones until they eventually die a sweaty, bloody death. It's not explicitly confirmed this is the same in the TV show, but butterflies do get a mention, so it's very possible this fate is what awaits Grey Worm and co.
