8 TV Reunion Specials We Are Desperate To See

Sci-fi fans tend to look upon this show as the holy grail of the genre, and it's easy to see why. This astonishing series created one of the most unique science fiction universes ever seen, filled it to the brim with loveable characters and took the plot in some fascinating directions. Then, the world came crashing down as the "shiny" show was infamously cancelled before its time.

Firefly - and its subsequent movie Serenity - told the story of the starship Serenity's crew, led by Mal Reynolds, as they skirted around the law, performed dangerous missions and kept out of the reach of The Alliance. While the movie acted as a decent conclusion to the series, it still left the door wide open, and viewers to this day have no whole ending.

While this show struggled to find its audience on cable TV, the streaming landscape would be perfect for it as niche shows have a much better shelf life due to word of mouth. Bringing the show back for a special one-off reunion could even see it gain the traction needed to make a new season finally.

Perhaps it's too late for this show, but there's no power in the 'verse that can cause fans to lose hope for it.
