Bellick was one of the nasty guards in the first season of Prison Break, who made it hard for poor Michael to break his brother out of jail. He continues being a pain during season two, where he chases after the escaped heroes for reward money, and it isn’t until the fourth season that he joins their side.

He tries to make up for his past actions and seems to feel genuine guilt for them, to the point he’s willing to sacrifice his life in his final episode. He drowns in a pipe after sealing it to save the others, proving he wasn’t such a douche after all.

Given Prison Break’s fondness for bringing dead characters back to life (Sara, Michael) then who knows, we might see him in the reboot series after all.
