8 Ups & NO Downs From Star Trek: Lower Decks 5.6 - Of Gods And Angles

7. UP — T'Lyn'cidents

Star Trek Lower Decks Of Gods and Angels T'Lyn Mariner

After two weeks without her, we're certainly delighted to see her back, however briefly. T'Lyn, and Gabrielle Ruiz, moreover, always makes the most of any screentime. In this episode, she reeled off more acerbic Vulcan one-liners than when Spock told Sarek he had a different career in mind.

We see T'Lyn again when she bumps into Mariner in her "old bunk". Humans are very prone to nostalgia, which is "puzzling," but in this instance, Mariner was waiting for Ensign Olly. We all equally want to know more about the "turbolift incident," "the replicator incident," and "the phaser incident". Every sentence was delivered in characteristic, flawless deadpan style of which Ruiz is the Vulcan master.

That was pretty much it for T'Lyn, unfortunately, save for a wry comment on power surges. Let's hope for more from the final four! We did get extra Ruiz this episode, nonetheless. She also played that 24th century Juliet, the kinky Orb in love with a kinky Cube, and new parent, Radiara.
