8 Ways To Annoy A Doctor Who Fan

Find out how to push a Whovian's buttons.

David Tennant Crying You don't have to be part of the Doctor Who fandom to know that it's one of the most devoted and passionate fandoms there is (yes - even more passionate than the 'Twihards'!). Whether a fan has been following the Time Lord's adventures since 1963, joined the party when he returned to our screens in 2005, or somewhere in between, every devotee of the Doctor is quite rightly extremely protective over that grand old man from time and space. Which means it's incredibly easy to tick them off. Of course, if you've got a friend or relative who just so happens to be a self-confessed Whovian (and looking at the odds, it's statistically possible), you'll know exactly what it's like to be in the company of a Time Lord addict. A Whovian doesn't just watch Doctor Who. Oh no, that would be silly. A Whovian lives, breathes and dreams Doctor Who, constantly inundating your daily conversations with relevant - and sometimes (usually) not - quotes, swamping your lunch dates with a foray of "fascinating" facts and boring you to death with a never ending pile of useless "timey-wimey" trivia which, let's face it, you couldn't really care less about but you've never wanted to bring them up on it in case you cause offence. If you've stumbled on this page, though, it's likely that you've had enough. The fact you didn't even flinch at "timey-wimey" proves it's gone too far, so here's a list of 8 ways you can seek revenge and tick off a Whovian accidentally on purpose. It's always important to remember that Doctor Who fans don't do it on purpose. It's purely out of their love for the show that they're so openly passionate about it, but it's understandable that sometimes not everyone else wants to hear about the plot holes in his latest adventure, or the relativity of time and space. So the next time you meet up with your Doctor Who friend and they enthusiastically pose the question, "Do you know how many extras were featured in Season 21, Episode 6, Scene 24?", you'll know what to do...
