Everybody loves a good old dystopian drama but this one no doubt made you wish the world was actually ending, just so you wouldn't have to sit through it for a minute longer. That is, if you even watched it at all. Which, admittedly, not a lot of people did. One of the most appealing aspects about Survivors for Doctor Who fans was that it starred Freema Agyeman in one of her first mainstream post-Who roles. When her character, primary school teacher Jenny, turned out to be Martha Jones wearing a different jacket and... well, died in the first episode, there really wasn't much point tuning in. It lasted for 12 episodes before being canned by the BBC due to low ratings and "other considerations", which probably had something to do with the fact that its narrative had also fallen victim to that mysterious virus which had suddenly wiped out most of the human race. Gutted.
