7. Tyrion Lannister

Few characters have been through as much as Tyrion who don't ride under the Stark banner, and even though he is now aligned with Daenerys in the TV show (or at least will be eventually) he's always perched on the edge of some death threat. Expect him to survive at least three close calls in the not too distant future - survive being the crucial word there. Why He'll Survive Tyrion will win the game of thrones, not for himself but for Daenerys, because his ultimate besting of both Jaime and Cersei, which would sit well with Martin's recurring theme of the meek inheriting the world (or improbably saving it). Unfortunately for Jaime, Tyrion's survival will probably mean that he gets killed, which would also suit Tyrion's agenda to destroy his sister completely. And aside from the story implications, he's the highest paid star on the show (allegedly) and easily the biggest draw for fans. Killing him would be like killing Daryl on The Walking Dead.
