9 Easter Eggs Hidden In TV Shows That Went Over Your Head

2. King Of Queens Actor Pranks His Own Show, On Air
CBS
Patton Oswalt is one of the most consistently funny comedians in America. His mix of nerd rage and keen insights makes him something of a unicorn, commenting onpolitical controversies with the same ire he uses to rant about why KFC Famous Bowls are the worst, most grotesque thing to happen to the world. ("America has spoken: Pile my food in a f*cking bowl like I'm a dog. I don't give a sh*t anymore.")

So even though Oswalt used to make a living as a typical sitcom stooge on the ultra-blandKing of Queens, you get the feeling itisn't exactly the highlight of his resume. During one particular episode eight seasons in (HOW DID IT STAY ON THE AIR THIS LONG??), Oswalt apparently decided "Screw it, I'm over this whole moving thing. If you want me in the scene, I'm going to stay in this one damn spot. Everyone can walk around me."

And that's exactly what he did. Oswaltliterallydoesn't move a muscle. He doesn't twitch, shuffle, titter, or blink for a full minute. And he's not exactly in the far background, either. His seemingly catatonic character is pretty much front-and-center, in the middle of the action. Not...being active.

Oswalt says he did it as a prank, but can't remember exactly why. Regardless, his quiet rebellion and eerie, mannequin-like instincts are on full display in the 2006 episode. They probably could have reshot the scene, but let's face it,Oswalt could have whipped his dong out and started beating Kevin James over the head with it and nobody behind the camera (or at home) would have noticed.
