9 Moments That Prove Sansa Stark Is Game Of Thrones' Unluckiest Character

1. What Next?

All of her family have been killed, or at least she thinks so. She€™s been mentally tortured by Joffrey, forced into marrying a dwarf, and is still thought partly responsible for the former€™s death. Now she is married to the most evil and twisted man in all the Seven Kingdoms, who has raped her on her wedding night. Surely things can€™t get any worse€ Well, there is the fact of that latest marriage, which obviously isn€™t going to be a happy one, and we are probably going to have to watch Sansa suffer a great deal more torment at the hands of her new husband. There is some cause for optimism though, with Stannis and his army riding for Winterfell, and Brienne also nearby. The books don't offer much assistance, as she is still riding around the Vale in those, even shown to still be there in a released chapter of The Winds Of Winter (which is coming, just very slowly, obviously). So it could be that Stannis or Brienne, or perhaps Theon, helps rescue her. Or even better, she rescues herself. She has witnessed political scheming and warfare at the very highest level, and maybe now we can see Sansa finally start to put that knowledge to use and start to get some of the revenge she really deserves. This being Game of Thrones, though, they€™ll probably just find more ways of making an unthinkably tragic situation even worse.
