9 Moments That Prove Sansa Stark Is Game Of Thrones' Unluckiest Character

4. Her Entire Family Is Dead

Having to witness the execution of your father would be more than enough murder for most people, but this is Westeros, and this is a Stark. She is forced to learn that her mother, Catelyn, and brother Robb have been killed at her uncle Edmure€™s (red) wedding, and that it was at the behest of the very people she is forced to be surrounded by. Furthermore, there is also the fact that word will have spread of her home of Winterfell being captured by Theon Greyjoy, and that her brothers Bran and Rickon have been murdered and their bodies burnt by a person she grew up with. The audience knows this isn€™t true, but for Sansa it means all her family - bar Jon, who she doesn€™t really include - are dead, as the presumption is that Arya has also died.
