7. The Byers Family Is Contemplating A Move
The trailer pretty much spells this one out without saying it outright.
We see Will visiting his old fort in the woods, crying over old photos of his friends and on first sight, this appears to be linked to the fracturing of the friend group. But this could be an editing trick to throw us off.
For two seasons in a row the writers of the show have put Will through the wringer. It would be nice if this season his problems are grounded in the very common experience of being forced to say goodbye to your friends and relocate.
This prediction is also supported a little later in the trailer, when we hear Hopper's voice as he's speaking to Joyce. "I want you to feel like this could still be your home" followed by a shot of a wary-looking Joyce. After everything the family has been through the past couple years, it's understandable why Joyce would would think the best thing for the family would be a fresh start.
