9 Stephen King Adaptations Coming To TV In 2020 And Beyond
8. Mr. Mercedes
Mr. Mercedes falls into a similar category as Haven, a King show that nobody seems to know is a King show. Stephen King's name is synonymous with horror, so you'd be forgiven if you didn't recognise a hard-boiled detective show as something from the mind that brought us IT and The Shining.
Despite this, the show has delivered three great seasons so far and is on track for a fourth in 2020. It sees Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, Calvary) as Bill Hodges, a recently retired detective hellbent on tracking down a killer in a stolen Mercedes who killed 16 people when he drove into a crowd.
Being one of the lesser horror projects on the list, it's fair to say that this doesn't tick all the typical Stephen King boxes, perhaps that's why it's doing so well.
