9 Stupidly Risky Plans From TV's Most Notorious Villains
9. An Easily Recognisable Frank Underwood Commits Murder In A Crowded Area House Of Cards
In the House Of Cards universe, Frank Underwood has one of those recognisable faces. And so he should at the time of this risky plan, he's skulduggeried his way to the Vice Presidency, which in case you haven't noticed, is a pretty public job. So when it comes to his desire to get anonymously out and about, you'd tell him to forget about it. To his credit, Underwood is aware of this, so when he goes to meet Zoe Barnes in a public metro, he wears a hat and some glasses. Perfect, you might think, but you'd be wrong. Remember, this man's the Vice President, and he's frequenting a public place in the political heart of America odds on, he's going to get recognised if he doesn't cover the entirety of his face. Obviously he doesn't and can throw Zoe under the train, but it's one hell of a gamble if he'd been made at any point, he'd have been met with questions about what he was doing in a place where someone died. Couple this with the fact it was known in certain circles that Barnes and Underwood had a close relationship, and there'd be a question mark hanging over him which would probably put paid to his political career immediately. Hell, if somebody happened to be looking right when the metro was arriving not an odd occurrence, commuters do tend to watch trains as they come in they might've seen Barnes clearly not throw herself on those tracks, and apprehend him then and there. Seems a hell of a lot of risk, really, even if it was necessary.
