9 Things That Need To Happen Before Brooklyn Nine-Nine Ends

2. ...And Captain Jeffords

Brooklyn Nine Nine
Fox

If Holt receives a promotion, someone will need to step up and lead the Nine Nine.

Who better than Mr Nine Nine himself (no, not Hitchcock, that would be madness), Terry Jeffords?

Not only does Terry already command an awful lot of respect in the Nine Nine, but he's a seasoned officer with a great reputation. Consider the fact that he's only one rank below Holt at present and it would be strange if he wasn't Holt's successor.

Terry even spent a brief stint in the Captain's chair while Holt was stuck working as a beat cop, so our favourite yogurt-loving wall of muscle is an absolute shoo-in for the job.

If Holt being promoted out of the Nine Nine is a fitting end to the show, then the passing of the torch to Terry would be an equally fitting end. The two have spent a long time building up a professional friendship, and although they both possess wildly different personalities, Terry would be the perfect man to continue Holt's work leading the precinct.
