1. When He Searched For Aliens
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1RaIWZq5Q8&feature=youtu.be My names Danny Dyerand I believe in UFOs. So begins one of historys greatest documentaries, BBC Threes epic 2010 investigation of whether or not we are alone in the universe. In the show, which packs an incredible amount into its 60 minute running time, our hero begins by interviewing a slightly nonplussed Sir Patrick Moore, interrupting his cricket-watching and wine-drinking in the process. He then goes on to investigate crop circles, and after seeing the flimsiest of evidence concludes that no-one would make them for a laugh - the only explanation is that they are made by that mob up there. However, the shows highlight comes when Danny goes to Colorado to meet an "alien abductee" (or in proper English, a liar) called Stan who shows him some of the shonkiest and most obviously fake alien footage youre ever likely to come across. Danny of course is completely credulous: I dunno how to deal with that to be honest. With the recent announcement that BBC Three is to go fully online, some have speculated that its only a matter of time before the channel closes completely. If that happens, history will record that I Believe In UFOs is one of its crowning moments.
