2. Family Guy
Family Guy has always had similarities drawn between it and The Simpsons, but Family Guy was very different. It was a lot less sentimental; it was a less realistic, sillier take on life. It had great jokes (some of the best are in the first episode), it had good characters that were established early on, and it was ridiculous but still relatively grounded. As time went on the stories just got somewhere between outrageous and offensive. I find that I hardly laugh out loud watching Family Guy any more, its just lost something. I think season 4 was the last good one for me (excluding the Laugh It Up, Fuzzball extended episodes which I thought were quite good), it had great bits in there including the Peter Griffin Side Boob Hour, James Woods, Rock Lobster and when Peter forgets how to sit down. More recent stories include McStroke (Peter gets unlimited burgers for life, eats too many and has a stroke then tries to sue the burger company) and Family Gay (Peter sells his body to medical experimentation to pay off a debt and is injected with the "gay gene"). If that doesn't make you question the quality of this once great show, I dont know what will.
