9 TV Shows You Can Binge-Watch In A Weekend

2. Lucifer

If the Devil came to Los Angeles on vacation, the last thing you'd expect him to do is to work with the LAPD. But that's exactly what he did in the series Lucifer after meeting the woman of his dreams. First, he ran a bar and leaned into a life of debauchery the likes of which the world has never seen. After he did that for a few years, he started helping the LAPD solve crimes.

What makes this series work is the compelling and charming performance of Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar. Everything in the series hinges on this character, which makes sense as the series is named after him. Watching Lucifer explore morality, mortality and empathy in the real world, partially by going to therapy and misinterpreting the results of his sessions, is fantastic.

That's probably why Netflix revived the series for two more seasons after Fox cancelled it.
