Before making it big in Hollywood with films like There's Something About Mary, Zoolander and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Ben Stiller was toiling away in bit-parts and with this, his own sketch show. The Ben Stiller Show parodied many aspects of 1980s and '90s culture and Stiller himself regularly sent-up the celebrities of the time. Tom Cruise, Bono, Al Pacino and Bruce Springsteen all for the Stiller parody treatment. Originally appearing on MTV from 1990 to 1991 the show move to the FOX network in 92 but was cancelled after only 13 episodes due to low ratings. The show was fresh, funny and didn't feel the need to use a laugh-track to tell audiences when and how hard to laugh. Audiences might not have 'gotten it' at the time but there's no reason not to go back and watch this underrated show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV5iHgdRQRg
