9 Upcoming 2016 TV Shows That Are Already Doomed To Fail

2. Colony

Ah, Josh Holloway€so loveable and charming on Lost, yet so unable to forge a successful career for yourself post-Sawyer. Despite a few very brief roles on shows like Community and Yo Gabba Gabba! (seriously), the actor has had a pretty pallid career since Lost ended in 2010. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like things are going to get much better. Colony depicts a futuristic, dystopian version of Los Angeles, and the military occupation that makes everyone's life a misery. The premise, in essence, is survival. That's the simple version, anyway. The plot is so complicated and so convoluted that there's just no way it's going to gain mainstream popularity. To prove my point, I'll try my best to explain it. Basically, in this futuristic, dystopian Los Angeles, there's been a military occupation by a group of people known as the Colony Transitional Authority. The Colony Transitional Authority are a subsidiary of the Hosts (also known as the Raps, a reference to raptors) who are actually aliens. Supposedly, nobody ever gets to see these aliens, as the entirety of futuristic, dystopian Los Angeles is trapped by a wall as tall as a skyscraper and hundreds of yards thick. All of this took place during a violent invasion called the Arrival. That's just a small slice of the context. Still with me? Yeah, didn't think so.
